Shallow

I had a pretty good weekend. Just a lot of sitting around doing nothing. This week is going to be pretty easy, too. We are putting a new board in the new studio, so we can't do live broadcasts. Only problem is that I have to change my schedule around a bit. That's the only part that sucks, but at least I'll get to hang out some after work. I guess that's all I have today.

Test for Echo

I'm sick of Iraqis. I'm sick of the way they talk, I'm sick of the way they smell. I know that sounds mean, but, well I guess it is mean. They all sound like their clearing their throats, but that's how they talk. Also their mosques have loudspeakers so the whole town can hear the prayer, and that makes it even worse. And it's on the radio on the busses. I'm just sick of them. Also if something isn't bolted down, they'll take it. So, my iPod made it to my house yesterday, now my mom is going to ship it and my Parker today. I can't freakin' wait for that stuff to get here. She also ordered a comfortor and sheets.

Sheep go to Heaven, Goats go to Hell

No matter how old some people are, they still act like they're in high school. Grow up. I'm still tired from the overnight stuff, couldn't really sleep during the day. Too much light. I'm in the middle of my show right now. It's my first one since Thursday. The soundproofing kicks ass. My iPod is on it's way to my house, now I just have to wait for my mom to put it back in the mail.

Silence Across an Ocean

Sometimes just silence over the phone with someone you care about is better than anything.

2208-2215

So, I've got duty tonight. Nothing better to cap off a nice weekend of doing nothing with an 8 hour shift of doing nothing, followed by some sleep, followed by my radio shift. This is a bullshit duty, because the other unit is lazy. It's their job to run the press desk, not ours. Yet, the "learning experience" it provides is an exuse enough to give it to us. Oh well, at least everyone in our unit has the duty. From the techs, who don't even have a public affairs job, to the commander, who has a rank high enough to not have duty, are pulling the shifts. At least I'll have the internet to keep me company, and keep track of my fantasy football players. Today makes it 2 months in Iraq. 10 to go. I think I'm starting to get sick. I'm done for now.

Caught in a Web

Well, I've got the next couple of days off since they put soundproofing in the new studio. We can't be in there becuase of the glue fumes. I'm not complaining, though. It got me out of my show tonight and tomorrow. It's giving me some time to work on more imaging for my show. I ordered my friend's birthday present yesterday. I hope her address is still the same. Guess that's it.

Three Minute Warning

Started really shopping on the new laptop today. Of course, there isn't really much shopping involved. It's just do I want the 15" or 17" powerbook? I will have to wait for B&H to get the new ones though, I would order fromt the Apple store, but they take forever to ship and add taxes, while B&H ships quick and doesn't charge tax, a huge plus since tax on a $2500 laptop is about $800. Kinda diggin' the new blog here. I just need to find a place to host pictures.

A New Place

So, since my old blog is being invaded by jerks, I move here. It looks way better anyway.
